Storm seek another tournament title

Surrey softball team won at Canadian Open, will play at provincial tournament this weekend

The Surrey Storm ’95 will be looking to follow up a win last week at Softball City with a provincial championship this weekend at Cloverdale Athletic Park.

Storm ’95 will be one of 11 teams at the under-18 softball provincial tournament, four of which will qualify for the national tournament in Prince Edward Island Aug. 12-18.

The Storm placed first in the Futures Gold division at the July 12-21 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch International Challenge, defeating the Delta Heat ’96 7-1 in the championship game.
