Langley curlers take top spot

The Langley Curling Club’s Team Tardi captured top spot in the Optimist Junior Interclub Highpoint Division 1 playoffs.

The team, which consists of skip Tyler Tardi, third Jordan Tardi, second Nicholas Meister and lead Zachary Umbach, won the A playoffs on Sunday at the Langley Curling Club.

They are coached by Paul Tardi.

The team had earlier won the Division 1A banner and they are representing the Fraser Valley at next week’s B.C. Winter Games in Vernon.

Team Habkirk (Coquitlam Curling Club) and Team Parker (Abbotsford Curling Club) won the B and C playoffs, respectively.

And Team Vukich (Seattle Granite Curling Club) was presented the Optimist Junior Interclub Highpoint Division 1 grand aggregate banner. They won the banner with 36 points.
