Cloverdale synchronized swimmer heads to nationals

Cloverdale's Erin Williams will be competing at a national synchronized swimming championship next week in Quebec City.

Williams, a member of the BC Aquasonics Senior National team, will compete in the senior free and technical solo events.

The Canadian Open National Synchronized Swimming Championships are April 24 to 28.

BC Aquasonics are sending 12 national stream athletes to Quebec for the event.

The senior national team will compete in the junior/senior FINA combo and the Senior FINA Team Routine event.

Natasha Heine of Surrey and Mackenzy Higgins of White Rock are competing in the senior FINA duet free event, and Joanna Moraes of Surrey will be entered in the Junior FINA solo event.

Six BC Aquasonics teams are taking part in the Lower Mainland Provincial Stream Regional meet in Walnut Grove, Langley, which take place April 27.
