Christmas booklet will be missed

My heart sank when I learned the Cloverdale Reporter's Old Fashioned Christmas magazine had not been published this year.

An Old Fashioned Christmas

To the editor;

“It was the night before the night before Christmas” and to my amazement I still had not received or seen the Cloverdale Reporter’s “Old Fashioned Christmas” booklet.  I have collected all the copies from the past eight years and enjoyed each and every one of them.  My copies have been kept in pristine condition and are stored with my Christmas books.

So, a call to Jennifer at the Cloverdale Reporter was made. To my disappointment I learned the Christmas booklet had not been printed this year.

My heart sank, I loved that little booklet. The stories, the recipes, all the family memories.

Our grown children live and work overseas. Copies have made their way to Japan and China. This year it won’t make its way to Dubai.

I realize this venture calls for the financial backing of many of the advertisers, money is scarce and most of the time at Christmas we are all asked to open up and dig a little deeper. However, I just wanted you to know that the little Old Fashioned Christmas booklet will be missed.

Wishing you and the staff at the Cloverdale Reporter a Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.
