In loving memory ~

Joyce is deeply missed by her beloved husband Julius, his daughters Cathy (Kent), Linda, and Arlene, and Joyce's children Elaine (Steve), Stephen, and Brenda. Grandchildren Cameron, Fraser, Kimberley, and Xoey; granddaughter-in-law Nikki; and great-grandchildren Mattaya, Richy, Cassidy, and Devin.

Joyce was born in Katrine, Ontario, to a Mennonite family, the youngest of 7 children. She grew up on a farm and married her first husband, Dick, in October 1949. Richard Guy (Dick) passed away in May of 1988.

Mom met Julius, and they were married in Hawaii in 2006. Joyce and Jules, as she called him, liked to travel, dance, play cards, pick berries, and garden together. Joyce was an excellent bridge player and will be missed by her bridge partner, Peter. Mom liked to bake pies and bread. Her cheese bread was second to none, and her butter tarts were amazing. No one made butter tarts like Joyce. Those who knew Joyce can attest to her generosity with her time, money, and sometimes advice. Joycie will be missed by a large extended family and many friends. She was physically and mentally active to the very end of her 97 years. Gone to meet her maker, and maybe to a grand slam in the sky.

Love you, Miss you, and Thank you for being in our lives.
