A Surrey man looking for a small amount of drugs was shot in the chest this week and had his car stolen by the would-be dealer.
At just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, a 21-year-old called someone for a drug transaction. He then drove to meet the person near 78 Avenue and 126A Street.
A South Asian male who is described as about 5'11" in his 20s walked up to the victim while he was sitting in his car, then pulled out a very small calibre handgun and shot the prospective purchaser in the chest.
The dealer then took off in the victim's car.
The vehicle is described as a yellow 2001 Toyota Camry four door sedan with a B.C. license plate number 217 TSE.
The driver who was shot, was treated at hospital and has been released.
