A man has admitted to his role in a number of sexual and physical assaults of women in Surrey a year-and-a-half ago.

James Henry Reddemann appeared for his scheduled trial in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster Monday, but instead, entered guilty pleas.

According to the court registry, Reddemann pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, and one count each of uttering threats and attempting to choke to overcome resistance.

Two Surrey sex trade workers reported attacks within days of each other in October 2014, prompting a warning from police to sex trade workers.

A third woman came forward shortly after, prompting a plea for more information from the police, which generated several tips.

Reddemann was arrested about a week later, on Oct. 26, 2014.

A pre-sentencing hearing is scheduled for Dec. 9 in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster.
