Delta police are on the hunt for a bank robber that hit a financial institution this week.

On Monday at just after 7 p.m., Delta police responded to a robbery at a bank in the 7300-block Scott Road.

The suspect entered the bank, produced a gun and demanded money.

He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He ran to an awaiting car, which was found a short time later and was determined to have been stolen from Surrey.

Attempts to track down the suspect with a canine unit were unsuccessful.

No employees at the bank were injured as a result of the incident and the investigation is still ongoing.

The suspect was described as a male possibly Asian or First Nations, 27 to 32 years old, pimpled or pocked marked face, 5'6" to 5'8", weighing about 140 lbs.

The suspect was wearing blue jeans, black coat with the hood pulled up over his head, with the hood having a fur on the edge of the hood, black shoes and black gloves.
