Police in Surrey are still looking for Blaze Braithwaite, a 16-year-old Newton boy who was reported missing on Feb. 8.

Surrey RCMP Sgt. Tammy Lobb says he left his home on Feb. 7, 2024, in the area of 141 Street and 84 Avenue.

“Since then, there has been a confirmed sighting by a family member as well as confirmed sightings at Guildford Town Centre and the Guildford Recreation Centre,” she said. “Investigators from the Surrey RCMP Missing Persons Unit have been following up on all available leads but have not been able to connect with Blaze in person, to confirm his wellbeing.”

He’s known to frequent shopping malls like Guildford Town Centre, Metrotown and the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet in Vancouver. “He may be using the SkyTrain to travel.”

Braithwaite is Indigenous, five feet eight inches tall, 161 pounds, is slim and has a fair complexion, with short dark brown/blackish hair, brown eyes, possibly a stubbly moustache, and may be wearing glasses.

He was last seen on March 14 at Guildford Town Centre, wearing a bright blue puffy jacket, multi-colored hoodie, dark pants, eye glasses with thin silver frames, a medical style mask and was carrying a small crossbody bag.
