Saturday night swing dancing at the Jump Joint begins Sept. 29.

UPDATE: Saturday nights get swinging on Oct. 13

Postponed from a planned start in September, Jump Joint Dance Hall gets ready for its new season on Oct. 13.

Swing into the new season with drop-in retro swing dances every Saturday night starting on Oct. 13 at the Jump Joint Dance Hall, #110, 12332 Pattullo Pl.

The Saturday Night Jump is hosted by Kirk MacIntyre of the Metro Kids Society. Doors open at 9:45 p.m. and swing dancing takes place from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

First-time dancers will be taught basic moves in 15 minutes. DJ music by DJMB and friends.

The dances are for all ages and there’s a concession on site.

The cost is $5, with proceeds for Progressive swing dance classes are also available for first-time to intermediate dancers.
