Ticket sales start Friday (April 5) for an expanded Barnside Harvest Festival in Delta this fall.
Paterson Park in Ladner will be busy with three full days of live music on three stages from Sept. 13-15, 2024.
Headliners at the second annual festival include Canadian rock bands The Glorious Sons, Sam Roberts Band, Loverboy, The Trews, Sloan and Wide Mouth Mason, presenters of the event announced Tuesday morning (April 2).
Last year’s inaugural festival attracted more than 23,400 ticket-holders to the park, located at highways 10 and 17A (5800 Clarence Taylor Cres., Delta).
Other bands for 2024 include Doc Walker, Toque, Odds, Couch, Yukon Blonde, Jojo Mason, Carsen Gray, XL the Band, Ashleigh Ball (of the band Hey Ocean!), BoomDaddy and more, shown on posters that detail daily lineups at the beer company-backed festival.
“We’re thrilled that Barnside Harvest Festival was so well received by our community, so we’re pleased to bring this vibrant music festival experience back to Paterson Park,” Ken Malenstyn, general manager of Barnside Brewing Co., said in a news release.
“Thanks to the tremendous support from the City of Delta, city staff and the many sponsors and community organizations,” Malenstyn added. “We’re excited for the new lineup and look forward to promoting Delta’s agricultural heritage and celebrating the harvest of locally grown food with music, food, fun and, of course, farm-fresh beer.”
Friday performers include JUNO award-winning The Glorious Sons and The Trews, followed Saturday by Sam Roberts Band, Sloan and Doc Walker.
The ’80s rock icons Loverboy take the stage Sunday along with Wide Mouth Mason and Odds. Planned earlier that day is the return of Paw Pals Electric Picnic, a dog-friendly gathering with contests, agility areas and music by Larry Hennessey (JACK Up the 80’s) and DJ Goodspin.
The festival also promises a huge charity BBQ to benefit Delta Firefighters Charitable Society, plus food trucks, artisan market, games and activities for kids in the McDonald’s Family Zone, and more.
Single-day, full-weekend and VIP tickets will be sold starting 10 a.m. Friday, April 5 on barnsideharvestfest.com.
