In a tradition that’s decades old, Deltassist has put together its annual toy depot at East Delta Hall.
The toy depot is part of Deltassist’s Christmas programs, and allows low-income families to go pick out toys for their kids. According to Deltassist manager of operations Lorraine Yates, there are around 600 families registered to participate in the toy depot, equalling approximately 1,200 kids.
Delta firefighters and volunteers from CIBC and Envision Financial helped set up and organize the hall on Monday, Dec. 11. Registered parents can attend the toy depot on Tuesday, Dec. 12 and Wednesday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday, Dec. 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
