Surrey museum hosts family history session

Join presenters from the Surrey Museum, Surrey Archives and Surrey Library for a how-to session on using a variety of homey research tools.

On Saturday, the Surrey Museum hosts A Kitchen Table Approach to Family History Research, a how-to session involving staff from the museum, the Surrey Archives and the Surrey Library.

The two-hour session will help those researching their family histories draw on a variety of tools.

Learn interview techniques, what to do with family photographs, what can be uncovered in your family papers and more.

Join presenters Sandra Borger from the Surrey Museum, Ryan Gallagher from Surrey Archives, and Paul MacDonnell from the Surrey Library.

The cost is $15.

The session runs 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Surrey Museum, 17710 56A Avenue. To register, call the Surrey Museum at 604-592-6956.
