Grade 12 students responsible for a positive grad prank at Clayton Heights Secondary poses with the evidence – a new dogwood tree and flowers in a large decorative planter they worked on in secret over the weekend.

Staff at Clayton Heights Secondary are calling it the best grad prank ever: A large planter that’s the centrepiece of the school’s courtyard has been given a makeover.

Last weekend, a group of Grade 12 students added in fresh soil, bedding plants and a new dogwood tree – replacing one destroyed by vandals.

“It was such a nice surprise,” said BASES teacher and Link Crew coordinator Sheri Montgomery. The culprits will be presented with a plaque June 27 at the school’s awards ceremony.

The students responsible are: Hayley Inglis, Katie Alexandre, Maddy Power, Andrew Chiles, Stephanie Martin, Emily Barren, Andy Bui, David Lee, Christine Scott, Alexa Tarrayo, Jonina Dangle, Anthony Smith, Chris Morishita, Freya Puszka, Graydon Hertzog, Nathan Vogt, Kiri Wong, Marissa Brindley, Patrick Macht, Jennifer Duong, and Devon Fleming.Follow the Cloverdale Reporter on Twitter and Facebook.
