It was wet, so wet, but the 800 kids and parents who braved Saturday’s rainstorm to join the 13th annual Halloween Costume Parade didn’t seem to mind.

After a prize draw at Surrey Museum Plaza in Cloverdale and posing for a group photo, participants went trick-or-treating at local businesses.

The annual event is co-sponsored by the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce, the Cloverdale BIA and partners. Inside, the Surrey Museum hosted its annual Pumpkin Power event, providing welcome refuge in the rain and plenty of family-friendly and fun activities before the parade.
