Drop by the Cloverdale Legion this Friday and Saturday and help Branch 6 celebrate Legion Week.
The "Faces of the Legion" open house features displays on the branch's and the ladies' auxiliary's contributions over the past 85 years.
The Ladies' Auxiliary will be promoting the Spinoza Bear, a therapeutic bear with a hidden speaker and CD player that tells stories and sings songs to children, helping them deal with pain, fear and anxiety related to illness, disability or trauma. The Spinoza Bear program provides children aged three to 10 years suffering from illness or tragic circumstances with the comfort of a new friend.
Branch 6 hosts a free pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23.
The Cloverdale Legion is located at 17567 - 57 Avenue.
