People were lined up into the parking lot during a free Christmas breakfast at Surrey Community Church on Dec. 20.
Youth Transforming Society (YTS) volunteers served an estimated 600 people with the help of the Salvation Army, which runs the church at 134 Street and 96 Avenue.
This was the group's second-annual breakfast.
Founded in 2010 by a group of Surrey students, YTS has raised more than $6,500 for organizations including the Canadian Red Cross, Oxfam and BC Children's Hospital.
