The family of a man who went missing on a trip to Chilliwack one month ago have turned to the public for help in finding him.

Chilliwack RCMP announced Monday (March 11) they are looking for 40-year-old Kent Mantler. He was reported missing by his family on March 8, 2024, but was last seen on Feb. 12, 2024.

At the time of his disappearance he was driving a Grey 2005 Suzuki Grand Vitara, licence plate TM6 1ON. Mantler’s brother has issued a photo of what his brother’s car looks like, and his sister has issued a public plea to help find him.

She said he was travelling from Vancouver to a friend’s place in Chilliwack the last time he was heard from, and that on Feb. 19 there was a credit card charge to an Abbotsford gas station.

“He is not in a good frame of mind and suffering from mental health issues,” Corrina Joyce wrote on a public Facebook post. “He also has a history of seizures.”

She said that the hospitals and police in Chilliwack and Vancouver have been notified.

RCMP describe Mantler as a white male, 6 ft., 3 in. tall, and 230 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.

As RCMP investigators continue to search for Kent Mantler, they are asking the public to remain watchful for him.

Police are also concerned for Kent’s well-being, said Cpl. Carmen Kiener, spokesperson for the UFVRD.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kent Mantler is urged to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
