Shots fired in Royal Heights

Friday's incident is the 13th shooting in Surrey since early March

Surrey is home to yet another shooting, this time in the Royal Heights area of North Surrey.

It’s the 13th shooting incident since early March.

At about 5 a.m. Friday, Surrey RCMP received a call of shots fired in the 11700-block of 96 Avenue. On arrival, officers found evidence of shots being fired at a home in the area.

No injuries were reported.

As of Friday morning, Surrey Mounties were continuing to  investigate and canvass the neighbourhood for further information.

Officers are looking for a silver import, possibly a Honda Civic-type vehicle, which was seen fleeing the area at the time.

Officers are still trying to determine whether this incident is targeted. The occupants of the home are not known to police.
