Surrey story: remembering internment

The Surrey Museum hosts two events next Saturday as part of its Two Views exhibit.

Next Saturday at the Surrey Museum, join Raymond Nakamura from the Japanese Canadian National Museum to learn about Japanese Canadian history, the Canadian internment of its Japanese-Canadian citizens during the Second World War, and Nakamura’s own family’s experiences during this troubling period.

It’s from 1-2 p.m., Oct. 22.

Also Saturday, join museum staff for a guided tour of the Two Views exhibit to learn the stories behind the images and the stories Surrey’s pre-war Japanese Canadian population, from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
