Artist Jason Craft has gone “out on a limb” to create a wild new mural at a Cloverdale elementary school.

The scenic mural, “Home of the Wildcats”, welcomes visitors to Don Christian Elementary. It depicts two bobcats in a woodland setting.

Craft painted the mural in April, and the school had a ribbon cutting ceremony May 30, along with an assembly and open house.

In designing the mural, Craft first consulted with students and the school’s mural committee, comprised of students, staff and parents.

The inspiration, says principal Martin Bobik, was “Going out on a Limb” using the school’s mascot, The Wildcats.http://raven.b-it.ca/portals/uploads/cloverdale/.DIR288/wJasonCraftMural.jpg
