Cloverdale is a unique neighbourhood with a mix of historic and modern charm.

This town is the birthplace for the city of Surrey and is known for its flourishing agricultural community. Cloverdale is also famous for the Cloverdale Rodeo, a world-famous event with rides, animals and good eats.

For a unique history lesson, visit the Surrey Museum or Surrey Heritage Rail, which takes visitors on an hour-long ride round-trip through picturesque farms to Sullivan Station every weekend throughout the summer.

Visit Main Street to enjoy Cloverdale’s historic ambiance and more heritage experiences. Learn how the bees get to business producing honey and their important roles in the environment at the Honeybee Centre. For the lovers of all things vintage the BC Vintage Truck Museum welcomes visitors Wednesdays and Saturdays. Explore Cloverdale’s variety of local goods from boutique shops, speciality restaurants, bakeries,farmers markets and more.

Weather

Cloverdale has a temperate climate and has significant rainfall in the winter through spring, cool autumns and sunny summers.

Destination BC is developing a new campaign to promote hyper-local travel where residents are “tourists-in-their own hometown,” while practising the COVID-19 safety protocols as recommended by the B.C. Provincial Health Officer. Many B.C. parks are now open, and national parks were to open as of June 1.

Getting Here

Vehicle: From Vancouver take Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 E and take exit 53. From Hope follow Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 W to take exit 66.

Flying: Vancouver International Airport is about 45 minutes away and Abbotsford International Airport is about 40 minutes away.

Transit: Surrey Central Station offers transit to Cloverdale with bus 320.
