Cloverdale PeeWee Vipers celebrate a win at annual memorial classic.

The Cloverdale PeeWee C5 Vipers won the Julie Paskall Memorial Winter Classic, held Dec. 27-31. The annual Christmas tournament for house teams has been hosted by the Surrey Minor Hockey Association for roughly 40 years over the holiday break, but since 2014 it has been played in memory of Julie Paskall, a hockey parent who died after being attacked outside the Newton Arena in December, 2013.
