Vancouver forward Brad Richardson – playing in limited time in Tuesday's pacific-zone matinee – potted the overtime winner at 2:16 of the extra frame – with Kevin Bieksa crashing Evgeni Nabokov's net – as the Canucks outlasted the New York Islanders, 5-4, in Long Island.

Daniel and Henrik Sedin each scored for the Canucks, as did Ryan Kesler and New York native Chris Higgins. Matt Moulson scored twice for the Islanders, and Brock Nelson and Frans Nielsen added tallies, too.

*David Booth was a healthy scratch for the Vancouver Canucks, as was Yannick Weber... Jannik Hansen was injured after crashing into the Isles' end boards and did not return... the Canucks' next game is Thursday night against the New Jersey Devils and (maybe) Cory Schneider. Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. PST.
