Surrey wrestlers on the podium in Sherbrooke

Two gold, one bronze at Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke

All three local wrestlers at the Canada Games won medals, including a pair of gold medals.

Jaskarn Ranu, a graduate of Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary, won a gold medal in the 69 kg. category. Ranu won both his semifinal and gold medal matches by 3-0 scores.

Many Kahlon, a student at Frank Hurt Secondary, won his semifinal match 4-0 and took the final of the 115-130 kg. class by a 3-0 score.

Paul Sahota took the bronze medal in the 115 kg. class. After he was pinned in the semifinal round, Sahota defeated his opponent from Quebec 5-0 in the bronze medal match.
