Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary senior boys basketball team is off to a promising start at the provincials, with a win this afternoon (March 11) against West Vancouver.
The Panthers beat the Highlanders 73-47.
The Panthers haven't been at the B.C. 4As since 1953, a 62-year drought.
They play Sir Winston Churchill Thursday (March 12) at 3:30 p.m.
Six boys and girls teams from Lord Tweedsmuir made it to provincial championships this year.
The junior girls lost in the finals over the weekend to another Surrey team – Panorama Ridge.
The boys 4A action continues to March 14 at Langley Events Centre.
