Twelve teams from across the Lower Mainland came out to Cloverdale to compete in their final tournament of the season.

On Feb. 11 and 12, twelve teams from Howe Sound to Hope participated in the Optimist Junior Division 1 Curling tournament at the Cloverdale Curling Club.

The tournament was a culmination of the season. Participants competed over two days in games and skills competitions. At the end of the weekend, a banquet was held and the winners for the competitive seasons—which began in September—were announced.

Team Bernier from Vancouver was presented as the banner champions for Highpoint Div. 1, while Team Moore from Langley was presented as the Grand Aggregate Trophy winner.

The participants in Division 1 would like to thank Highpoint Construction, The Optimist Club, Al Kersey, as well as the coaches, volunteers and team members who participated, as without them, the season would not have been possible.
