Poem: Lakes, Rivers, Streams and Ponds

A poem submitted by Mike Stuyt of Cloverdale.

Lakes, rivers, streams and ponds

Rolling over rocks

Falling from the sky

Walked in, and driven through

Mixed with powder and baked

Flushed down the toilet

These are all the same

Different forms

Solid, gaseous and liquid

It saves lives

It destroys many more

We look for it on distant planets

Without it we are dead

WATER. WATER. WATER.

This precious quantity surrounds us all.

It is joyous to bathe in .

The pleasure of riding on it, held aloft upon a righteous ride.

Hopefully it will be with us for a long time

Treat it well.
