The 746 Lightning Hawk Squadron wishes to express its sincere thanks for the continued support from the community of Cloverdale.
Two weekends ago the Squadron held its fall Tag Days Fund Raiser in Langley and Cloverdale. The event was as successful as previous years and the community has again shown its strong support for the Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
The 746 Lightning Hawk Squadron is a not for profit organization open to young men and women between the ages of 12 and 19.
Tag Day funds are used to offset the costs of activities, which are not funded by the Department of National Defence.
The Air Cadet program provides the opportunity for young people to develop valuable life skills while taking part in survival camps, gliding, drill, music, sports programs, sport competitions and social activities.
Not only do our Cadets take part in training activities, they are also involved in community service such as The Adopt a Street program, Operation Christmas Child, assisting with community events and parades, and assisting the Royal Catnadian Legion with the distribution of Poppies and conducting Remembrance Day Ceremonies.
