Battle coverage

Over the last several weeks you ,"The Cloverdale Reporter", have been very supportive with your coverage of our on-going battle with Great Canadian Casino to ensure harness racing remains an industry in our community.

Harness Racing B.C. organized a rally and protest outside Fraser Downs May 6.

To the editor;

Over the last several weeks you ,”The Cloverdale Reporter”,  have been very supportive with your coverage of our on-going battle with Great Canadian Casino to ensure harness racing remains an industry in our community.

Well I would like to thank you very much!

At last night’s (May 6th) rally we received the good news that our government was listening and would grant us 10 months of racing commencing Jan 2012. This was accomplished because of all the great support we received from everyone in the community.

Once again I would to thank the local reporters for getting the message out and to the community for standing behind us.

We still have many hurdles to cross but things are starting to look brighter. Hope to see you at the races this fall.
