Two dead in weekend crash

Three cars collided early Sunday morning at 88 Avenue and 152, an incident that took two lives

Two people have died and one is in critical condition after a three-car collision on the weekend.

At about 12:30 a.m., Sunday, a Toyota 4-Runner was heading west on 88 Avenue and making a left turn onto 152 Street, when it was hit by an eastbound Hyundai.

The Hyundai, after striking the Toyota caromed into another vehicle heading west on 88 Avenue.

Two people died in the accident, while another remains in critical condition.

Two others were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for close to 10 hours while police investigated.

Mounties are asking anyone that may have witnessed the collision, or observed the vehicles involved in the collision driving prior to the collision to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
