Thousands of people crowded downtown Vancouver on Saturday in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington.
The event was a push-back against newly inaugurated U.S. President Donald Trump and his misogynistic behaviour and rhetoric during the presidential campaign.
Despite the power-of-women message of the event, which included a noisy march past the U.S. Consulate and Vancouver's Trump building, a sizable minority of the crowd's participants were men and children.
Crowds of hundreds of thousands of people joined demonstrations in dozens of a major American and Canadian cities on Jan. 21, including smaller demonstrations in cities and towns in B.C.
