Pedestrian hit by vehicle on Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge

Taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit on the Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge on Thursday evening, Jan. 2.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. Ridge Meadows RCMP received a call from Emergency Health Services (EHS) advising that a pedestrian had been struck at the intersection of Laity Street and Lougheed.
 
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. First responders from Maple Ridge Fire Rescue also attended.
 
The driver stayed on scene, and was cooperative with police.
