Two people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a pair of collisions in Surrey this morning that occurred within 10 minutes of each other.
According to police, both incidents are being investigated by the Mounties’ Criminal Collision Investigation Team and Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service, with help from the Traffic Enforcement Unit.
The first incident occurred at 7:30 a.m. in the 15800-block of 64 Avenue, when a motorcyclist collided with the rear of a dump truck.
In the second, at 7:40 a.m., a pedestrian was struck in the 5400-block of 192 Street.
Further details on the victims was not immediately available.
Investigators expect to be on the scenes for “several” more hours, and drivers are asked to plan alternate routes: on 64 Avenue, the road is blocked in both directions between 152 and 166 Streets; on 192 Street, no traffic is being allowed between 54 Avenue and the Langley Bypass.
