The two homicide victims found shot dead in a Surrey parkade on Jan. 13 have been identified.

Thirty-three-year-old John Edward McGiveron and 33-year -old Geordie Wesley Carlow were found in a parkade at an apartment building near 128 Street and 94 Avenue about midnight on Sunday. Both males were Surrey residents and both were known to police.

“IHIT (Integrated Homicide Investigation Team) can say that evidence retrieved thus far does not support this homicide to be gang-related,” said IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Jennifer Pound Tuesday afternoon.

Pound also said a vehicle seen driving erratically from the scene has been located, thanks to a tip from the public.

“A member of the public placed a call to the police shortly after the vehicle description was released, and the said vehicle was located eight blocks away from the crime scene,“ Pound said.
