Heather Dow and her sister Colleen French were part of the army of volunteers assembling hampers last week as part of the Cloverdale Christmas Hamper Program.

Both say they really enjoy volunteering. This particular hamper – packed with fresh and non-perishable food items, plus children’s gifts – was to be given to a local single mom who recently lost her job.

They were working to meet the Dec. 17 hamper pick up deadline.

Recipients come to the warehouse at Pacific Community Church to collect their hampers. There’s a festive atmosphere, with hotdogs and refreshments.
