More than 11,000 homes in Surrey are still without power this morning, according to BC Hydro.

That includes several schools.

Across the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast, BC Hydro is reporting roughly 58,000 customers without power this morning after heavy winds hit the region on Thursday.

The White Rock pier was split in half during the storm.
