Man critical after stabbing

A 58-year-old man was stabbed at a Shell Station in Newton on Tuesday night



A man is clinging to life after being stabbed in Newton.

On Tuesday, at 9:30 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at the Shell Station at 88 Avenue and King George Boulevard.

When police arrived, they found a 58-year-old man in critical condition as a result of stab wounds.

A witness said he was stabbed about four times in the chest and back.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

A suspect was taken into custody without incident.
