SURREY—One man is dead after what police believe was a targeted shooting last night in Surrey.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says a second man was injured in the incident just before 10:30 p.m.
Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound says in a release that Surrey RCMP found two wounded victims after responding to a call for shots fired in the 14300 block of 90A Avenue.
She says the men, both in their late 20s, were rushed to hospital by ambulance, but only one survived.
Pound says police are working to confirm a motive for the attack and identify the culprits.
She says police are contacting the victim's family members before releasing his identity.
