Douglas Park was one of several Langley City locations where classic cars were on display.

The clouds looked grey and threatening early Saturday morning, but the sun emerged and burned them off in time.

Hundreds of cars and thousands of people crowded Langley City for the annual Cruise-In which featured classic cars and trucks of all kinds along with everything from an Elvis tribute performer to the legendary In-In-Out burgers and a bunch of self-styled "Cossack" trick motorcycle riders from Seattle.

The charitable one-day event was expected to raise around $80,000 for charity.
