UPDATE: Flipped car cleared, but still heavy traffic delays for Alex Fraser Bridge

Traffic is reportedly backed up to at least 72 Ave westbound

A flipped car that’s reportedly just north of the Alex Fraser Bridge is still causing delays for commuters, even after the accident was cleared, Delta police say.

According to Delta police, a multi-vehicle accident was impacting southbound traffic on the Alex Fraser Bridge. At 4:45 p.m. a reporter on scene said traffic is backed up Nordel Way in North Delta, and was likely backed up past 72 Avenue westbound.

A stalled vehicle that was in the northbound lane on the Alex Fraser Bridge is also causing delays. That stall is now clear, but is expected to cause heavy delays for northbound commuters.
