Family reunited with lost camcorder

Surrey RCMP say a missing camcorder turned in at the Cloverdale Rodeo has been reunited with its owner, thanks to tips from the public.

The rightful owner of a camcorder turned into the Cloverdale Rodeo has been located, thanks to tips from the public over the weekend, Surrey RCMP say.

On Friday, police released images from the camera in hopes the family depicted in the images would be recognized, and the item could be returned.

A number of tips came in as a result of the alert, eventually leading to the identification of the owner, Surrey RCMP said in a press release Monday, adding the family was very thankful to hear the good news and appreciative of the Good Samaritan who turned in the item.

The black JVC Everio camcorder was turned in on May 19, but it had been found two days later on 177B Street between 64 and 60 Avenue.
