Intersection of 184 Street and 32 Avenue has now reopened

The road has now reopened ay 184 Street and 32 Avenue after a serious collision in Surrey's Campbell Heights neighbourhood this afternoon.

Surrey RCMP say they received a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 184 and 32 involving two vehicles. The driver of one vehicle, a Nissan, was taken to hospital with injuries that police describe as life-threatening.

A Black Press freelancer on the scene reported the Nissan was an SUV, while the other vehicle was a semi truck.

The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) was on scene, according to a Surrey RCMP press release shortly before 6 p.m., and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was called out. 

The investigation is in the early stages, and investigators are working to identify the causes of the accident.

The intersection of 184 Street and 32 Avenue was closed in all directions for investigators to process the scene, but an update from Surrey RCMP at 8 p.m. noted the road has now reopened.
