Members of the Clayton Heights secondary student council show the over 10,000 food items collected along with $1,000 cash during the school's 11th annual Christams food drive.
The food will be distributed to the needy through the Cloverdale Christmas Hamper Program.
The items were destined for the warehouse at Pacific Community Church, which acts as the nerve centre for the hamper program.
This week, dozens of volunteers are sorting and assembling hampers for the non-denominational program in order to meet Saturday's pick up deadline.
On Dec. 17, recipients are invited to come to the church to pick up their hampers.
