A member of the U.S. Customs Border Patrol and a Canadian Mountie were among those awaiting the call to begin their march towards the Peace Arch on Sept. 11 for the annual 9/11 Memorial Service at Peace Arch Park Wednesday morning.

Earlier this morning, a convoy of emergency vehicles – including military vehicles, ambulances, fire trucks and police cars and motorcycles – travelled with lights flashing from Richmond and east along Highway 91 to Peace Arch Park for the event honouring those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York.
