New Westminster police are asking witnesses of a kidnapping in August to come forward with any information.

Police said the victim was found within 24 hours and taken to hospital for medical care.

Two people have since been charged: 38-year-old Richard Favel and 45-year-old Jess Heerema, of Vancouver.

Favel is charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon and assault.

Heerema is charged with uttering threats and assault with a weapon.

Both Favel and Heerema remain in custody.

New Westminster police is now looking for witness who have yet spoken to police to come forward. Police are looking for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the 500-block of Front Street on Aug. 16. They're asked to contact the major crime unit at 604-529-2430 or mcucrimetips@nwpolice.org.
