Surrey is hosting budget consultation meetings as part of its plan for 2025.

The City of Surrey is holding budget consultation open houses in each town centre seeking people's input on what they think should be funding priorities for its 2025 budget.

It's also collecting data through an online survey, with an option to also participate in Punjabi.

“Like last year, we are taking our budget consultation on the road with open houses in each of our town centres," Mayor Brenda Locke stated in a City of Surrey press release issued Sept. 9. "I encourage all of our residents to take the online survey or drop by one of the six open houses to share your priorities and shape the 2025 budget. Your input is vital in helping us create a budget that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our vibrant and growing city.”

The open houses will be on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Guildford Recreation Centre between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.; on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Surrey City Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.;  on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the Fleetwood Community Centre from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Cloverdale Recreation Centre from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Newton Recreation Centre (outdoors in the walkway) between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and on Friday, Sept. 27 at the South Surrey Recreation Centre from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
