The Surrey resident was arrested and released on conditions, including staying away from the victim.

A 24-year-old Surrey man has been charged with additional charges in connection to a "stranger sexual assault" in a home in Surrey on July 20.

Surrey Mounties responded to a call at 3:15 a.m. July 20 of a sexual assault in the 14100 block of 91 Avenue.

"The victim reported that she was woken up by a man groping her in her residence," said Cpl. Sarbjit Sangha in an earlier RCMP news release. "The victim screamed for help, and the suspect fled."

Jatinder Singh was initially arrested and released on conditions on Aug. 16. Following further investigations, Singh was charged with four additional offences, which include two counts of secretly observing/recording nudity in a private place and two counts of trespassing at night near a house.

On Feb. 7, he was released by the courts again with conditions including electronic monitoring until the end of May 2025. After that, he will be monitored by a bail supervisor and under a curfew.
