No injuries after Surrey home sprayed with bullets overnight

Surrey Police are investigating a shots-fired incident in Newton overnight on Jan. 5.

A home in Newton was the target of several bullets overnight on Sunday, but luckily no one was injured.

A resident of a Surrey home noticed bullet holes on the outside of their home after returning just after 1 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 6), according to Surrey Police Service. Located at 71 Avenue and 128 Street, the side of the home had "several" gun shot holes which is suspected to have happened between 10 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday.

"No one was home at the time of the shooting and there are currently no suspect descriptions," reads a release from SPS.

The incident remains under investigation, with the BC RCMP Surrey Provincial Operational Support Unit officers leading the investigation.
