Employees, families, customers and community members will be taking part in the TD Tree Days Event, set for 9 a.m. to noon at the park, located at 9797 115A Street in Surrey.

Similar events are planned this September and October in Abbotsford, Coquitlam and in Richmond.

The seventh annual TD Tree Days will see 50,000 trees added to the Canadian landscape through more than 150 community plantings this fall, including 18 accessibility and diversity plantings. The organization collaborates with groups, organizations, communities and municipalities across the country. Since 2010, more than 20,000 volunteers have helped plant 235,000 trees in 120 communities.
